Law School 101

So here's the thing about being a law student - no one tells you you're doing a good job. No one really complements you on your work, so it's your job to remind yourself. This isn't so easy to do all the time when it seems like all the forces are against you. No matter who you were in undergrad, that won't be the case in law school. And no matter what law school you attend, there will always be people who are smarter than you, who intimidate you, who have more charisma. Law school makes you humble. It reminds you that you are just one dot in this entire universe.

But with all of that, a law student still needs to remind him/herself that a dot means something. I need to remind myself that it's okay that I'm not the smartest student. I have to learn to look past the disappointment and maybe the line of failures, and move on. Upward and onward. It's just hard sometimes when you're learning the lessons still.

I think you have a lot of guts, good work ethic, and a great attitude to do all you do. I'm too much of a wimp for law school (as are most people!) but you seem like you can handle a lot. I bet you do a real good job!
