sorrow.

My heart goes out to the family, friends and the many lives hurt by the Virginia Tech tragedy. It was a massacre, and I can't even imagine how I would have felt or what I would have done had I attended that school. My heart just breaks when I think that the victims must have been so afraid before they were killed. I'm not quite sure if there's a heaven, but at times like these, I really hope there is so that the vicitms may find peace.

One criticism I have of the media is that they are focusing on the gunman as an immigrant. I ask, what does that have to do with anything. Crazy people come in all shapes, colors, and sizes. If we're going to talk about distinguishing characteristics, I'd like to add most gunman are men, not women. My point is, there is no point in drawing out the fact that the gunman was an immigrant or what country he was from. Such facts should make no difference. Instead, I'm sure it's fueled many people to fear and even hate Koreans or Asians in general.
