Happy Halloween! For me, it's just another day in the life of an unemployed law school grad, counting down the last few weeks before Bar results come out. Terror - I feel sheer terror. Nothing much has changed since the last time I blogged, unfortunately. I'm still sitting in my sister's house, still no job, but still hanging onto the the idea that things are bound to change for the better one day.
Wedding planning is finally coming together very nicely. A date has been set, a location had been finalized. The remodeling is also coming along very well. It's been a headache finding the perfect pieces, but it's definitely closer to the end than to the beginning.
I am now out of money. I just applied for a loan deferment because I really had no other choice. I have over $25,000 in interest alone. I was so indifferent to the idea of a loan during law school because it was just one of those things most people had to get. Loans were just numbers typed on a piece of paper. I never really held the money to pay off my tuition, because it went directly from the loan provider to the school. Now that school's all finished, the concept of a loan has become much too real. No longer simply numbers on paper, but numbers on paper that I owe!
What was the children's book with benefactor that pays for everything? Ah, Great Expectations. I need to get me one of those...a rich old lady willing to pay off my debts!
