I've meen MIA. I know. It's horrible. I got married! Had the most fabulous wedding, went to Korea and China on my honeymoon, came back, settled down, and here I am. Right back where I was in May.
My life goes a little like this, and I quote:
"...firm seeks 3-5 year associate... practice seeks an attorney with 8 to 10 years ...team players with 3 years experience...California firm seeks 3-5 year associate...SF's financial district is seeking an associate with 2-4 years of litigation experience... law firmseeks an experienced (minimum of three years) ...practice seeks an attorney with 8 to 10 years of transactional real estate experience...well respected law firm is seeking a 2-5 year attorney...law firm seeks an associate with 4 to 7 years experience...IP boutique seeks a skilled patent prosecution associate with at least 2 years of experience ...associate with at least 2 years of big firm legal experience... San Francisco office seeks attorneys with 1-5 years of patent litigation experience...Candidates must have 2-5 years of experience...office seeks a litigation/IP associate with 4-5 years of experience..."
It goes on and on, but I'll end it there to save myself from falling into deeper sorrow. At the end of the day, I am sorely reminded that I am not qualified for 99.9% of the job listings that I've managed to hunt down. I might apply to a single job a day while realizing that there must be hundreds of applicants for that one job. Boo... I've become a starving lawyer.
On a brighter note, I went to vote first thing this morning. I'm optimistic about the changes that are bound to happen after this election.
